Chlorella, basil and lemon pesto

Wondering what to do with our chlorella powder? It’s simple: make pesto! Fragrant basil meets zesty lemon, bringing a vibrant green to your plate. Whether you go vegan with savoury yeast flakes or keep it classic with parmesan – it’s up to you. \nBlended to a creamy consistency in just 5 minutes, this pesto goes brilliantly with al dente pasta, looks great on crispy focaccia or makes a tasty topping for your oven-roasted vegetables.

50 g Fresh basil
1 Tsp. Chlorella powder
40 Pine nuts or almonds, roasted
1 Whole Clove of garlic, chopped
100 ml Olive oil
1 tbsp. Yeast flakes (or parmesan)
2 Tsp. Lemon juice, fresh
1 Lemon zest
1 Pinch Salt
  • Step 1/1

    Blend all the ingredients, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and continue blending until you have a creamy pesto.
